Notice to Residents: Quail Ridge Linear Park Prescribed Burn

Dennis Craig, Assistant Fire Chief with the City of Kelowna, has been working with the City's Urban Forestry department and the BC Wildfire Service to get a burn plan set up and approved by the province to conduct a prescribed burn in the linear parks.  

In the immediate future, 2 engagement session about the prescribed burn are scheduled:

- August 27th at Quail Park Place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and

-September 11th at the Quail Ridge Residents' Associations AGM at the Hampton Inn (7:00 PM start)

The August 27th event could give you the opportunity to walk the site with Dennis and others from Urban Forestry!

(Please note that the September 11th engagement session could be cancelled IF the prescribed burn happens before this date)
