Help Us Help You!
As fire season nears, the Quail Ridge Residents' Associations' FireSmart Committee and the Okanagan Golf Course want to help you help us protect our community.
Between now and May 4th, we encourage you to pick up and dispose of combustible fire debris like pine needles and pine cones from your yards into your green bins...and if you have excess, don't worry. Just bag it up and place it on your curb. We will pick up these bags and any larger tree limbs, plants and shrubs, and dispose of it at the City of Kelowna's landfill. (Don't worry about the type of bag used because we will need to empty the bags at the landfill anyways).
Pickup: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, Saturday May 4th - Pickup is free, thanks to the generous support of the City of Kelowna's Neighbourhood Grant Program!
Come Celebrate! Meet your neighbours and learn about the Quail Ridge Residents' Association. Join us for a hamburger or hotdog graciously supplied by Nesters Food Market. The FireSmart BBQ will be held between from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the Okanagan Golf Course's Works Yard (2210 Quail Drive – you will see the tents).
