Community Wish List - Vote for what matters to you!

We need a minimum of 25 of you to vote BUT it would be far better ... and more statistically significant ... if we get EVERYONE voting.  

Share the weblink with your neighbours, your strata ... anyone you know ... who lives in Quail Ridge and wants a say.  The results will be presented at our AGM that will be held in September (we are in the process of finalizing the dates and location).

Background

Between June 19th and July 15th, many of you sent in your ideas to help create a Community Wish List.  And I can honestly say that in the 8 years I have been monitoring the QRRA emails, I have never received the volume of responses that we got.  Many of these responses reiterated the support for the ideas in the initial wish list but we got alot more really unique and interesting ones as well.  All have been incorporated into the survey.

To better enable us to create the survey, we grouped the ideas into 5 broad categories:  

- Help Foster Strong Neighbourhoods

- Approach the City to Update our Parks

- Approach the City to Improve Recreation & Sport Offerings in Quail Ridge

- Approach the City to Improve the Roads, Sidewalks and the Entrance to our Community, and 

- Other Challenges (these are the tough ones that we may or may not be able to do much about).

Then, under each category, there are 4-6 specific ideas that we are asking you to choose your favorite from.  

Lastly, there is a final category that we ask that you pick the most important category out of the 5 categories, above.

This way, we can work on the 5 categories but keep our focus on the top 2 ideas from each.  And, while FireSmart will always be a number 1 area that we put our efforts into, we can then learn which of the 5 categories is also extremely important to the community. 

As I said above, we are not at all sure if we can take on some of the ideas brought forward.  But we wanted everyone to see what was sent in and allow everyone to vote on what matters to them the most.  At a minimum, we will present the results to the City and any others so the results are brought forward.

And we will present the findings at our AGM...and on the website after that.
