Thank You Doreen!
We’d like to thank Doreen – we don’t know her last name – for her efforts picking up trash along Pier Mac Way.
In fact, we ‘d like thank many of you for picking up trash around the neighbourhood.
It is nice to see that folks care about our area!
Message from the Okanagan Golf Course
Last month, the golf course encouraged residents to utilize their paths for walking but advised that skating, skiing and tobogganing were not allowed on the course.
Please heed the golf course’s request.
As well, pick up after your dog. There has been a great deal of dog feces found on many of the cart paths.
Please move your vehicles off the road to help the snow plows do their job.
Residents are reminded that under City bylaws they are responsible for clearing snow from their driveways and the sidewalk fronting their property within 24 hours of snowfall. The City asks that residents not shovel snow onto the roadway.
As well, the Fire Department asks for residents' help removing snow around fire hydrants. Clearing a one-meter radius around fire hydrants saves the Fire Department time locating it during a fire emergency.
T&T Auto Parts, a new business, has just opened up at Unit 8 - 1945 Pier Mac Way. Overland West Distribution Centre on Pier Mac Way is now operational and a development application has been filed with the City to develop two properties on Optic Court, 2175 & 2185. These will be light industrial/office/warehouse buildings similar to others along Pier Mac.
Please, lock up, stay safe and keep an eye on our neighbourhood.
Report any suspicious activity to the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
HAVE A SAFE & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
