Recycling Mishap
We have had a report of people putting garbage in recycling bins. Mix ups can happen but stay alert and be careful where you dump your garbage.
On a related note, the Regional District of the Central Okanagan has a great app to help us navigate what recycling goes where. Available for iPhones/iPads and androids, the free Recycle Coach App for mobile phones and tablets lets you search on how to dispose of hundreds of items, check your weekly pickup schedule and set pickup reminders all in the palm of your hand. Boat Launch Survey Closes April 3, 2022
The City of Kelowna is conducting a boat launch survey to help it create a 15-year management plan. Kelowna’s public boat launches see heavy use every year and deteriorate over time. They need maintenance to ensure proper upkeep and safety, and the City of Kelowna is looking for residents’ input to navigate the future of these facilities.
Another City of Kelowna Survey Coming in the Mail!
Work is underway to create an Indoor Recreation Facilities Strategy which will help guide the City’s investment in sport and recreation facilities over the next 10-20 years. All residents of Kelowna will have the opportunity to provide their input to the strategy through a postcard survey that will be mailed to households in the coming days.
Every Kelowna household will receive a coded postcard via Canada Post. The code is required to access the survey, can only be completed once per household, The survey must be completed by April 22nd, but if you don’t receive your code via mail by April 10th, you can email recreation@kelowna.ca to request alternate access to the survey.
