For $10 for a two year voting membership, you help support us running the community website and some of our insurance requirements (Volunteers Insurance and Directors and Officers Liability Insurance).  And you have a say with a vote at the AGM on issues around how we run the association and spend its money.

I had hoped that a separate screen would open with the "name address phone number "form inside it, not at the bottom of the page.  

​

At the end of the the first page of the form, there would be a yes no button that asked if the individual wanted to help support QRRA by becoming a voting member.  If no, they'd be signed up.  If yes, the screen would open to 2 options:  e transfer or credit card.

If e-transfer, was chosen the following detailed instructions would pop up.

If credit card was chosen, there would be the payments screen that they'd fill in.  Plus a button that would allow them to set up automatic renewals.

The beauty of the credit card option is that it would not allow the membership to be added without the payment going through ... hence no follow up on our part.

And that is part of the problem with e-transfers...additional work

​

Plus, I did discuss the cost of credit cards and the board was very much in favour of adding this now. 

 

The e-transfer system is a pain for members...hence the detailed nit picky instructions...I have had incredible problems over the years if we don't have this level of detail.  

​

So....we can keep e transfers as an option but for 59 cents a transaction, this is CHEAP versus all of the pain we go through collecting payments.

1. Complete the following form to provide us with your name, address, email and phone number.  All fields are required.

2. Submit the information by clicking the “submit” button at the bottom of the page.

3. After submitting the information to us, log into your online banking or mobile app.

4. Search for Interac e-Transfer and add QRRA as a new Recipient, using qrraexec@gmail.com.  

5. Choose email as the selected method of transfer (rather than phone number).

6. Once QRRA has been added as a Recipient, open a new e-transfer. 

7. Choose the account you want debited and enter $10 as the amount to transfer. 

8. Select QRRA as the Recipient and click continue.
